Luke Zagorski Joins We Are Soccer Network

Local soccer personality, smoke-flare enthusiast, and professional storyteller officially joins the chaos

Metro Detroit, Michigan — We Are Soccer Network is thrilled—possibly recklessly so—to announce that Luke Zagorski has officially joined the team.

Luke, known throughout the Metro Detroit soccer community as the very tall man carrying an impressive collection of soccer jerseys and occasionally appearing near suspicious amounts of smoke, joins Craig, Brooks, Crazy Nate, and Danny as a regular contributor to We Are Soccer.

Together, they form one of the most entertaining, informative, and questionably supervised soccer shows in the country.

Seriously, how many soccer networks will create clown videos featuring their own hosts, explain how to sound smarter when discussing the beautiful game, and then allow everyone involved to drink beer during the broadcast? We are still trying to determine who approved this.

Luke relocated to Southeast Michigan in 2017 and quickly became a familiar face throughout the local soccer community. Since arriving, he has supported local clubs, attended countless matches, built an extensive jersey collection, and developed a remarkable ability to annoy opposing supporters.

In other words, he is a perfect fit.

Viewers can expect Luke to bring thoughtful soccer insight, plenty of controversy, relentless banter, and extremely long stories designed specifically to test the limits of Nate’s patience.

When he is not attending matches, Luke enjoys spending time at home with his lovely wife, Martha, who somehow continues to tolerate both Luke and the aforementioned jersey collection. Her patience and commitment remain an inspiration to us all.

“I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to contribute to the WAS mission of representing, spreading, and stewarding the spirit and lifeblood of soccer in Metro Detroit,” Zagorski said. “Since relocating to Southeast Michigan in 2017, I have been privileged to meet some of my very favorite people on the planet through this local soccer family—and being part of WAS will allow me to meet many more.”
